A Palestinian writer born in the village of Arraba in northern Palestine in 1943. He has published three novels: "Masa'ib al-Dajja" (2006), "Dhuhha" (2012), and his latest novel was "Ali: The Story of a Righteous Man" (2017), which was longlisted for the "Arabic Booker Prize" in 2018
